The Role:

We are looking for an Architectural Technician to join the Digital team to create accurate and well-presented 3D models of residential properties from 3D scans. The models will be shared with various stakeholders to enable decisions on upgrading assets. The role will involve site visits to carry out surveys, working closely with customers to understand project needs. In addition, the Architectural Technician will provide a detailed understanding of buildings and retrofit to the wider Product Development team and input to research projects, testing new technological approaches. The ideal person will have a can-do attitude as the role will involve aspects of both being hands-on and operating at a strategic level. Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating 3D models in Revit based on 3D scans taken at residential buildings.
  • Designing energy retrofit details for residential buildings.
  • Prepare diagrams and presentations to support retrofit strategies.
  • Carrying out surveys of buildings and aligning scans.
  • Applying building design knowledge for input into mechanical design.
  • Presenting building models and energy retrofit designs to clients.


  • Demonstrable experience creating residential building models in Revit.
  • Experience in the retrofit of energy efficiency measures to older buildings.
  • Self-motivated and highly organised with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team player with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Effectively manage tasks, report progress, plan time and work to deadlines.
  • Adaptable and happy to take on new challenges.
  • Can do attitude and willing to lend a hand with other teams when required.
  • Experienced using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
