Q-Bot announces a new office location in Wales to support growth and day-to-day operations
Q-Bot is thrilled to announce the opening of a new operational base and training centre in Newport. With its headquarters in London and a first operational base in Newcastle, Q-Bot continues its expansion to further support the installation of its robotic underfloor insulation through its own Delivery Team and a fast-growing network of Accredited Partners in Wales and South of England.
Plans to develop operations in Wales were initiated by the fast-growing demand of underfloor insulation from social housing providers, private homeowners and contractors delivering multi-energy efficiency and low heating measures. The new base will facilitate the day-to-day operations while maximising onsite installs and support to Accredited Partners.
“I’m hugely excited to announce the new base that showcases Q-Bot’s continued national growth and development. The new office, which is a short drive from ongoing programmes of work and target market areas in the West and South West of the UK, will create up to 40 new jobs in the region and will enable the company to better serve its customers.” David Lawlor, Head of Delivery, Q-Bot
The opening of the new Welsh office represents a strategic milestone in Q-Bot’s history, as the company is entering another exciting period of growth that will benefit several stakeholders, but more importantly the local community.
Q-Bot is partnering with local and national Accredited Installation Partners that are granted access to the Q-Bot System using a ‘Robot as a Service’ (RaaS) model. Q-Bot provides training and support on a regular basis while the hardware is maintained and swapped out to ensure that installers have access to the latest technology. This is an excellent opportunity to create jobs in the local community and upskill the existing workforce. In addition, this will allow Q-Bot to significantly increase the number of properties that can benefit from such a unique service, therefore contributing towards eradicating fuel poverty and fighting climate change.
“We have seen a huge increase in demand for Q-Bot’s underfloor insulation solution across the south and south west. With escalating energy costs showing no sign of abating, it is obvious people are looking for ways to literally insulate themselves against price rises. All the evidence indicates that homes which are more energy efficient are also more valuable and therefore insulation measures not only pay for themselves several times over in energy savings alone, they also increase property prices and comfort.
Generating ‘Green’ jobs in local economies aligns with Q-Bot’s aims of increasing social value and is generating employment around the UK. We are keen to use this opportunity to engage with more Welsh Housing Providers in order to help them realise their decarbonisation ambitions and tackle fuel poverty in Social Housing.” – Leigh Fairbrother, Head of Commercial, Q-Bot
